ARTEFACT
"Artefact" is an umbrella term for entities and objects
that cannot be explained.
They vary in appearance, abilities and structure.
Artefacts are classified by their rarity by TARI
(TAU Artefact Research Institute).
Rarity levels:
Normal (N)
Rare (R)
Super Rare (SR)
Ultra Rare (UR)
It is a common hobby for raincoat-hjörians
to hunt and collect Rare Artefacts.
How to spot an Artefact:
Inflict damage
SR and UR Artefacts are reported to be able to feel physical pain,
so they'll negatively react to any damage inflicted on them.
Observe the environment
It is known that when new Artefacts manifest on HJÖ, they
emit a specific odor that repels Carrier-type Echoes.
If they've abandoned a specific area, it might be a sign
that an Artefact has manifested nearby.
Tip from MR RAINER:
Artefacts are reported to be incapable of conscious thought,
so don't think twice and catch one!

Afelei
Rank: UR
Types: Living object, Distortion
The most advanced out of the three.
Artefacts from this class may have catastrophic effects
if not contained and examined thoroughly.
Class H
Humo
Rank: N-SR
Types: Object, Substance
Mostly consists of tools and alien technology.
Most of the objects are useless, or serve exclusively decorative purposes.
Many H Class Artefacts feature depictions of Humo.
Class V
VOR
Rank: SR
Types: Gas, Liquid
Manifest as clouds of unknown substances with varying properties.
They are said to possess a certain level of sentience, so it's advised not to engage with them *carelessly.
