Eye Plague is a disease that is mentioned in Hello Charlotte Episode Two and seen throughout the Hello Charlotte Series

General[]

The Eye Plague disease is a disease where the victim suffers from masses of eyes spreading over their skin, and, sometimes even to their internal organs. Bennett is known to suffer from this disease.

Story[]

Hello Charlotte 1[]

In Episode One, Huxley breify mentions to Charlotte that he is too busy trying to cure Eye Plague to watch over his nephew, and asks Charlotte to do so for him for a bit.

Hello Charlotte 2[]

Not much about Eye Plague is stated in the main game's plotline in Hello Charlotte Two. However, Florence does give Charlotte Bennett's Memory Cube to look at that she stole as a prank. In it, it is revealed that Bennett was originally a subject of human experimentation on Überia, a planet in which overmen ruled over men. Bennett was a man, and was experimented on as a a Class B specimen.

Bennett was originally a test subject for cosmetics, but was later promoted to being a subject for medical experimentation and was 'accidentally' infected with Eye Plague during this time. Eye Plague was noted as being an incurable illness that caused eyes to grow on the skin and organs of the infected, and Bennett was scheduled for disposal as a result of the Eye Plague until Huxley intervened. During this time, the Eye Plague was incredibly severe. Bennett had almost no hore, and his skin red and covered in eyes.

Huxley eventually cured the Eye Plague, apparently having found a cure for it long ago but hid it in order to study the capabilities of a human specimen. He eventually discovered overmen and men were the same, causing him to become a threat to society.

Despite having reportedly 'cured' Eye Plague, Bennett still shows signs of the plague with the numerous eyes seen on his face, not to mention any that may be hidden on the rest of his body. This likely means that the cure wasn't perfect, and Huxley was instead able to prevent death or some degree of eye growth using his cure.

Delirium[]

While not explicitly mentioned in Delirium, Eye Plague's effects are still shown in Bennett's sprite as the numerous eyes grown on his face.

Hello Charlotte 3[]

Not much is said about Eye Plague during the events of Hello Charlotte Three, however, it is still obviously present within the narrative as Bennett continues to have numerous eyes seen along his face.

Heaven's Gate[]

During the short Interludes featuring Felix and Bennett, some information is learned about the Eye Plague. These Interludes take place before the events of the Hello Charlotte games. Most of these Interludes are focused on how Bennett is killing his emotions, ignoring him in favor of using Soap as a drug. During Interlude #24: Wound, a CG featuring Bennett shows the numerous eyes seen along his torso, showing that the effects of the Eye Plague are incredibly severe underneath his hazmat suit. Felix states that he doubts the bruises would ever heal unless they skinned and replaced Bennett's skin, something that would be incredibly painful.
