Lillith Eyler is a character who appears in Hello Charlotte Episode Three, who is also known as Mother. She was Charles' and Scarlett's mother, as well as the one who controlled The House.
Appearance[]
Lilith's true face is never shown. Instead, she is laying on a white pillow with a red blanket with a white edge covering her. Her long yellow hair peaks out of the covers. When in her mutated form, and presumably dead, her face is replaced by a large amount of mutated, festering meat. This meat leaks outside of where her face should be, and stains the covers green.
In the False Realm, Lilith is known as "Mother," and no longer resembles a human. She is a large creature of meat, with a gaping mouth of sharp teeth. Some festering green boils are shown on this creature, as well as many yellow eyes. Some faces can be seen, these are side profiles and are depicted as screaming.
Personality[]
In the True Realm, Lillith is shown to be incredibly depressed and somber, and is unable to get out of bed. She is kind and mournful to Charles who she believes is Scarlett. According to Charles, after she was forced to abort Scarlett she became detached to reality and obsessed with her daughter that was never born.
In the False Realm, Mother controls The House. She is incredibly mournful and sobs in pain and grief. She still seemingly loves her children, and posesses no conscious desires.
Story[]
Background[]
Before we see Lillith, she was reportedly more energetic and happy. However, her unrelenting depression started when Charles' father forced her to abort her unborn child. She named this child Scarlett, and lamented her loss so severely that she gave up on life and saw her son as her unborn daughter.
Hello Charlotte 3[]
True Realm[]
Lillith is completely wrapped up in her bed, unmoving with only her hair poking out of her sheets. She talks to Charles, apologizing for not being able to get up and trying to comfort Charles. She does, however, call Charles a "good girl", evidence that she believes that she is his unborn daughter.
The next time we see her, she further explains that she doesn't want to get up, and that she is afraid of getting up. She laments to Charles that their healthcare system is inefficient, and that they will have to wait to get their pills. Before she goes to sleep again, she once again calls Charles a "good girl."
The last time we see Lillith, she is in a mutated form and dead in her bed. This is the final blow that causes Charles to commit suicide and leave the True Realm.
False Realm[]
In the False Realm, Lillith is now Mother. Mother is a gigantic, monstrous-looking entity who controls The House. She births all the Charlotte units, and provides them each a single wish at the cost of their lives. She acts as a mindless creature who creates life constantly, and constantly wails in pain.
Eventually, Charles kills Mother by injecting the Ice-9 into her, causing The House to crumble. This was his way of freeing both her and himself from their relentless grief, and before he kills her he hugs her and tells her that she did the best she could.
Heaven's Gate[]
Lilith Eyler, although not being pictured, is more healthy and present in Heaven's Gate. This is likely due to the absence of Scarlett Eyler, resulting in her not obsessing over her unborn daughter. She is still depressed due to Father leaving her, and is often very agitated. When Charles is young, this manifests as regular outbursts over minor issues. He also takes everything she says to heart, trying to follow her instructions to the best of her ability. Despite these outbursts, Lilith is still shown to be caring and worries over her son, regularly helping and talking to him.
Lilith comes into play often in the background. Calling an ambulance when Anri is stabbed, showing Charles the notes Anri and Vincent left for him when he is sick. When Charles graduates, it is revealed that his mother is actually doing very well compared to how she used to be and has even picked out his outfit for graduation.
