The Pills appear only in Hello Charlotte Episode 1, though they are mentioned in Episode 2. This is presumably Charlotte's prescribed medication to stabilize her mental state. After returning safely to the real world, Charlotte spends some time with Umbrella Man, then he gives her the pills and sends her off to bed. The player is forced to consume them before Charlotte is allowed to leave the TV Room. Upon exiting the room, the house will look very different from how it did previously. The House loses its odd "minimalistic" touch and becomes very normal, with the large TV being replaced with a flatscreen TV and the magcat being replaced with a normal cat. This is the biggest sign that Charlotte has some degree of schizophrenia or delusions, which is expanded upon further in Hello Charlotte 2.
In Hello Charlotte 3, Charles also mentions that he takes pills in order to deal with his psychotic episodes that involve Scarlett Eyler. Lilith Eyler also takes pills in order to deal with her depression, and the two of them often run out of these pills and are unable to get more due to their healthcare being insufficient.
Trivia[]
- If the player chooses to return to the TV Room, Umbrella Man will no longer be there, even if it is reentered immediately after exiting.
- As mentioned in the item description, the pills are Abilify, which is a prescription used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and Tourette syndrome, as well as ASD-induced irritability.
- The file name for the maps implies that the "real world" is actually a dream and the white house is the reality.
