Rem is a main character in tomorrow won't come for those without ██████.
This article about Rem talks about the Rem found after waking up in the Silence ending as well as the Rem seen throughout the game as a Celestial. Be warned.
End of spoilers.
Appearance[]
Rem has short, messy pink hair and black eyes. The undersides of his eyes are slightly red, likely due to this crying. As seen in the beginning of the game before Ori discovering him in the bathroom. Rem also clearly has some of the purple sparkles on the right side of his head during the Noise endings, similarly to Ori. However, in the Silence ending he is not clearly shown to have any of these sparkles until meeting Ori again. Rem also has two beauty marks, one under his left eye while the other is on the center of his cheek.
How ever, Rem is depicted to be the color red, rather than purple. In many of his sprites, he has the color red behind him, one even going as far as erasing his face and showing uncanny eyes. This is only when Ori comments on things that Rem is considered disgusted or shocked by such as Ori commenting how he loves the smell of the blood and how it smells like Lavenders. His entire face will turn black, other than two black eyes staring back.
Rem wears all black clothing. He wears a black turtle neck with tight black pants. Rem does not wear shoes though out the game, except he only wears white socks. Once through the first veil, Ori comments on how he forgot his shoes while Rem barks back how it's ultimately his fault and how he didn't get the chance to put back on his shoes.
When in his Celestial form, Rem loses all human form and eventually becomes a melted mass of white organs and meat.
End of spoilers.
Personality[]
Rem is a very emotional person. At the beginning, we hear him crying loudly behind behind a door. He's very expressive when it comes to being afraid, or disgusted by Ori's words or the things around him. Although, he never truly speaks about his emotions to Ori, he seems dismissive to them. Either he dismisses it, or he completely mocks Ori about something else.
Rem though out the entire game isn't the kindest to Ori. There are many times where he had tried leaving the other, or try and get rid of Ori. Once was they had to go through "Tomorrow Won't Come To Those Without Faith" veil, or the second veil. This is where Rem rudely left Ori without a goodbye, simply saying "What does this have to do with me? Figure it out yourself." and leaving Ori's side while the other time was through the "tomorrow won't come for those without ██████" veil, or the fourth veil. Here we see Rem insisting Ori go first. He tells Ori to go through the door first, then maybe he'll follow him through the door if he's alive that is. Rem's brutally honest with him, as if he's tired of the entire thing.
