The Oracle refers to multiple characters throughout the Hello Charlotte Series that have powers from or are referred to as an Oracle. It has god-like power, and is often seen as a power used to grant wishes in the third episode.
Appearance[]
While each Oracle has a different appearance, there are often commonalities between all of them. For one, all Pythian Oracles have multiple eyes on their head, with Freya having three and Frei having four. Oracles often tend to have meat tendrils that contain multiple eyes, as well as the occasional hand.
Oracles that are based in humans, such as Charlotte Wiltshire (Oracle), will have yellow eyes. A few more examples of this phenomenon are Charlotte Wiltshire Q84, Charlotte Wiltshire V19, and The Parasite (Oracle). Oracles often have white hair as well, although that is likely due to their closeness with Charlotte Wiltshire.
General[]
Felix states that the Oracle created the Pythias in the first game, but this idea is countered in Episode Two by the Umbrella Man. The Umbrella Man states that the Oracle appeared one day in Pythian society, rather than the Oracle creating Pythias as a whole. Felix goes on to say that Charlotte would perceive an Oracle as a god, and that "they are entities capable of creating small universes." Pythias also used to call the Oracle their "god".
As they reach the end of their lives, they slowly lose all of their power and become "white dwarfs." Oracles do not have a physical form, nor do they have a gender. The Oracle is also shown to be aware of the Puppeteer in some way, able to talk directly to you in Episode Two.
Story[]
Background[]
The Oracle is shown to have made a 'wish' to connect the minds of all Pythias, which resulted in a war between Individualists and Globalists. As the Pythias slowly lost individual egos, the Executioners performed God-hunts in order to try and destroy the Pythias who wished to merge together.
Eventually, the Executioners overwhelm the Globalists to such a degree that the Slaughterland that Charlotte and Felix enter is created. The floor of this area is literally covered in blood, and littered with the corpses of Pythias.
Hello Charlotte 1[]
The only Oracle seen in the first game is Freya, but the Oracle itself is referenced a few times by Felix before he and Charlotte actually meet her. He notes that Oracles are very rare, and one taking a physical form happens once in several milleniums. This is his reason for travelling to the TV World.

A Pythian Priestess
A mural of a Pythian Priestess is seen in the Slaughterland, which Felix notes as being how the Pythians portray Oracles. In the same Slaughterhouse that this mural is found, the Oracle is seen in the body of a fatally wounded Pythia girl. This girl is locked away in one of the buildings guarded by Executioners in the Slaughterland. The Oracle believes that Charlotte and Felix are Executioners there to kill her, and tells them to kill her quickly. The Oracle states that she believes that she has met Charlotte's parent before, implying she knew about Mother. The Oracle tells Charlotte and Felix to leave the Slaughterland, and states that she may see them again shortly.
In the Final Room, the Oracle mentions that there used to be an infinite number of channels, and explains how the Executioners destroyed the general Pythia population. The Oracle also forgives them in her speech, and asks Charlotte if she wishes to escape this dying world. Charlotte accepts, and they join hands in order to merge with each other.
Charlotte returns home and talks to the Umbrella Man about her recent adventures. He's surprised that Charlotte was able to contain a god-like entity without dying, which Charlotte justifies by saying that the Oracle was too weak to do any damage. Charlotte also says that she was able to see the Oracle's memories, but doesn't know very much about her.
Hello Charlotte 2[]
The Oracle has apparently perished within Charlotte's body in between Episodes One and Two when the game begins. When Charlotte sleeps, she sleeps in a "pitch-black land where time does not exist," but the Oracle has always been silent. It has somehow awoken, and Charlotte wakes up coughing ink.
When Charlotte goes to sleep on Day 1, she sees the first Dreamscape which contains a rotting Oracle in its center. The Oracle itself tries to find form, speaking in random gibberish and constantly changing form until it eventually settles on Frei (Oracle). He tells Charlotte that despite her initial bravado, she is still subconsciouslly afraid of the Oracle she merged with, so he took a masculine form. He also refers to himself as a singular being, rather than a group, in order to make it easier for Charlotte.
The two talk about the suicide of Scarlett Eyler, which had occurred earlier that day. During this conversation, it is clear that the Oracle is no longer the kind and tragic god that mourned its children. Frei is more brutal, vitriolic, and philosophical, questioning why Charlotte feels sad about the death of someone she didn't know.
Eventually, Charlotte gets tired and Frei asks Charlotte to rest beside him. He decides to read her The Tale of the Ink Princess, which he explains was part of the Pythians psychology test in the pre-Oracle era. All of those who took this test would make up their own ending to the story.
